John is the co-author of Marketing for Hospitality and Tourism, the leading hospitality marketing. His academic publications have been recognized three times as the best article in hospitality and tourism in the year they were published. He has also received the John Wiley and Sons Award for lifetime research achievements. John has been recognized as one of the five most influential professors in hospitality management. Cristian Morosan, Editor, Professor at the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College

Cristian’s research has resulted in over 110 peer-reviewed publications including book chapters, invited articles, conference proceedings, and journal articles in top hospitality and tourism journals. The European Union, HFTP, tourist destinations and universities have funded his work. He has a B.S. in Tourism and Service Management from Stefan cel Mare University, Suceava, Romania and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Iowa State University. He has received numerous awards for his teaching and research, including the University of Houston’s Teaching Excellence Award in Innovation in Instructional Technology.
