He has a B.S. in Tourism and Service Management from Stefan cel Mare University, Suceava, Romania and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Iowa State University. He has received numerous awards for his teaching and research, including the University of Houston’s Teaching Excellence Award in Innovation in Instructional Technology.
